Golden Guide (“we”, “us”) helps seniors and caregivers with reminders, wellness check-ins, Golden Moments, emergency SOS, and AI Find My Thing™. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using the app or website, you agree to this policy.
Who this policy covers
Patients (seniors), caregivers linked to a patient account, and administrators operating the service. Parents or legal guardians should create and manage accounts for users who cannot provide informed consent themselves.
Information we collect
- Account data: email and/or phone number, display name, language, country, accessibility preferences
- Health-adjacent care data you enter: medication and appointment reminders, medical profile fields (e.g. allergies, conditions), wellness check-ins, caregiver notes
- Golden Moments content you or your caregiver add (stories, photos, voice messages where enabled)
- Contacts you save for calling / SOS, and caregiver invite emails
- Location when you allow it for SOS / help alerts (approximate coordinates and optional label)
- Device tokens for push notifications when you opt in
- Usage analytics events (feature use, not raw Find My Thing photo pixels shared with other users)
- Subscription and payment status (payment card details are processed by our payment provider, not stored as full card numbers on our servers)
How we use information
- Provide reminders, schedules, check-ins, Golden Moments, and caregiver monitoring
- Send SOS / missed-reminder alerts to caregivers you invite
- Run AI Find My Thing™ image analysis when you submit a photo and object name
- Process subscriptions, trials, and support requests
- Improve reliability and accessibility of the product
- Comply with law and protect safety of users
Caregivers
If you invite a caregiver, they can monitor reminder completion, receive alerts (including SOS when enabled), and help manage care content you authorize. They do not automatically receive Find My Thing photo libraries or unrelated private content. You can remove a caregiver anytime from Caregivers.
AI Find My Thing™ photos
Photos you take or pick for Find My Thing are uploaded to our servers and sent to a vision AI provider (Google Gemini when configured; optional OpenAI fallback) solely to identify or locate the object you named. Photos stay in your account and are not shared with other users or caregivers by default.
Voice prompts
On-device text-to-speech may read reminders and Golden Moments aloud when voice is enabled. Audio for TTS is processed on the device when possible and is not stored as recordings on our servers for that purpose.
Permissions (mobile)
- Notifications — reminders and caregiver alerts
- Camera / photos — Find My Thing and optional Golden Moments media
- Location — optional SOS / help-alert location sharing
- Microphone — only if you use features that record voice notes (when available)
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who host the app (cloud database, email delivery, push notifications, payment processing, AI vision for Find My Thing) under contracts that limit use to providing the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect someone from imminent harm.
Account Deletion & Data Retention
We keep account and care data while your account is active. You may delete individual reminders, tasks, and items in the app at any time.

Children
Golden Guide is designed for seniors and adult caregivers. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region).
Your choices
- Update profile, language, and accessibility settings in the app
- Disable wellness check-ins or voice prompts where offered
- Revoke OS permissions (camera, location, notifications) in device settings
- Request export or deletion by contacting support
